Writer & Community Developer
Hey, my name is Mel! I’m a writer and community developer living in Montreal, Canada.
About Me
I am an avid reader of post-apocalyptic and historical fiction, a lover of story-driven games and chronic coffee addict. I’m happiest when my head is filled with music. I’ve always been mesmerized by how the words between the pages of a book or within the story of a game can make you believe in magic. It’s probably why I began filling up notebooks at a young age - to keep that feeling of magic alive.
After graduating college with a degree in literature, I wrote for several blogs (focusing on topics such as lifestyle, gaming and music) before completing a writing/social media internship at The National Film Board of Canada during their project ‘NFBONFxp’.
Since 2020, I have been working as a writer and community manager in the gaming industry! My passion for community management began when I became the community manager at Folklore Games (where we released our first game, a narrative-adventure called Spiral!) Simultaneously, I was also the community manager at Ratloop Games Canada, developers of Lemnis Gate and NO LOVE LOST. My newest adventure has brought me to Ubisoft Montreal, where I’m currently working as a Community Developer!
